Important Dates for Beginning of School (June - Sept)

Here is a list of important dates for the beginning of the school year.

JUNE

  • June 20 - July 9: Summer School Session 1
  • July 10 - July 30: Summer School Session 2

JULY

  • Students work on summer reading and assignments.
  • “HS Student Life 2024-2025" — This group page is your primary destination to find out what is happening at the High School.
  • “New and Incoming High School Students 2024-2025” for new students
  • July 1: Shelfit Bookstore opens.
    • All required textbooks may be purchased through your student's AXIS account and shipped directly to you.
  • July 18: Malachi’s Closet Uniform Sale
    • From 9:00AM - 2:00PM
    • If you plan on purchasing gently used uniforms, come to the sale on campus. Enter Westlake Plaza on Cedar Valley Road and go to the third floor of the learning center. See dates below for additional times.

AUGUST

  • August 1: Health and Athletic Forms due (Magnus)
  • August 5 - 8: New Student Welcome Week
    • 1:30PM - 3:00PM
    • Students only need to attend one of the above dates.
    • Dennis Discount Uniform Sale While Supplies Last
  • August 12: Malachi’s Closet Sale
    • From 2:00PM - 4:00PM
  • August 13: All Transfer Students—Meet & Greet and Orientation
    • From 9AM - 10:30AM
  • August 13: All Freshman Students—Meet & Greet and Orientation
    • From 1:00PM - 2:30PM
  • August 14: First Day of School
    • From 8:30AM - 3:15PM
  • August 16: Family Fair (All School)
    • From 4:00PM – 6:30PM
  • August 20: Picture Day (All School)

SEPTEMBER

  • September 6: Football Game—Oaks Christian vs. Roosevelt
    • 7:00PM
  • September 11 – High School Back to School Night
    • From 6:00 – 8:00PM
