Campus Security

The administration values the safety and well-being of each member of the Oaks Christian School community. Oaks Christian School employs campus supervisors and private security in order to provide a school environment that is free from external distractions or issues. Additionally, periods before school and during break and lunch are supervised by Oaks Christian faculty and staff. The Oaks Christian Middle School Campus is a closed facility from 8:00am-2:45pm. The Office of Business Operations and the administration coordinate the campus security and safety effort.

Afterschool (Grades 6-8):

The academic school day ends at 2:45pm. Most after school and athletic practices conclude by 4:00pm. While there is adult supervision until 5:00pm, we strongly recommend that arrangements are made for students in grades 6-8 to be picked up directly following their school commitments. Middle school students may not go to the high school campus before 3:15pm. No students are to remain on campus after 5:00pm.

Middle School students must check in at their assigned pick-up location. Each family will receive a carpool placard in August with their assigned pick-up location. All students taking buses must report to the MS Café, and will remain in the café until 15 minutes before the bus departs.

Afterschool (Grades 4 & Academy V):

All Grade 4 and Academy V students should be picked up directly after school or after school-related activities. Students should not be left to loiter on campus. No Grade 4 or Academy V student may leave campus without an adult.

Campus Arrival and Departure

See đźš—Carpool and Traffic Information for more detailed instructions

When arriving on campus to drop off or pick up your child, please follow the directions and traffic flow as directed by our campus supervisors. Please use designated drop off areas to keep the traffic flow moving.

For grades 6-8, parents must seek prior permission from the Principal in order for their student to leave campus unaccompanied.

Oaks Christian School encourages parents to be the primary drivers of their students both to and from school. In the case that you are not able to pick up your child for any reason we strongly encourage you to arrange transportation through carpool with other Oaks families. The approved ride sharing service is Hop, Skip, Drive. Oaks Christian School does not approve of any other ride sharing service that does not accommodate minors in their policy. Parents who use ride sharing services assume full risk and responsibility. The school retains the right to refuse these services on their premises. In such cases, parents will be contacted to arrange for alternative transportation.

Visitors

Oaks Christian School is a closed campus; therefore, any visitor must be approved. All visitors and parents, upon entering campus, should check in ONLY at the front reception desk. Visitors must bring their driver’s license to check in. Visitors will receive identification to wear while on campus. The school reserves the right to deny access to the campus to any parent, family member, or visitor.
